💨 Abstract
President Donald Trump signed an executive order imposing 100% tariffs on branded pharmaceuticals imported into the U.S. unless manufacturers agree to government drug pricing deals or move production domestically. Large drugmakers have 120 days, and smaller companies 180 days, to avoid these tariffs. The U.S. has already agreed to pricing deals with 17 drugmakers. Generic drugs are exempt for at least one year.
