💨 Abstract
April 2nd marks World Autism Awareness Day, kicking off Autism Awareness Month. In Canada, at least 1 in 50 children are on the autism spectrum, affecting many families. Systems are often not designed for neurodiverse individuals, posing challenges in employment, housing, and navigation. Misconceptions about autism, such as equating meltdowns with rudeness, are common.
