Over 8,000 Volkswagen vehicles in Canada are being recalled due to a software issue that may prevent the instrument cluster from displaying crucial information like speed, gear selection, and warning lights upon starting the vehicle. The recall, initially issued on March 25 and updated on April 2, affects specific models. Volkswagen will notify owners by mail to update the vehicle software and replace the instrument cluster if necessary. No injuries have been reported.
