💨 Abstract

A Markham, Ont., school was evacuated after a threatening phone call from Los Angeles, determined to be a "swatting call." York Regional Police responded to Pierre Elliott Trudeau High School at 7:44 a.m. and confirmed no threat to public safety. The school was cleared and students were moved to Beckett Farm Public School. Police remained on site and will continue their investigation.
