Leslie Charleson, 79, General Hospital's longest-serving actress, passed away due to a prolonged illness. She played Dr. Monica Quartermaine for 46 years, joining the show in 1977. Her death was confirmed by executive producer Frank Valentini on December 13th. Known as the matriarch of the cast and crew, she had health issues including mobility issues that required a walker.
