💨 Abstract

A Grade II listed First World War airfield, Old Sarum Airfield in Salisbury, Wiltshire, is on fire with concerns about asbestos in the smoke. Hangar 3 partially collapsed after a fire broke out, and flames spread to an adjacent hangar. Residents were advised to stay indoors and keep windows closed. Firefighters are still battling the blaze, and investigations are ongoing regarding the presence of asbestos.
