đ¨ Abstract
A new study links ultra-processed foods (UPFs) to tens of thousands of early deaths in the UK, accounting for 53% of people's energy intake, second only to the US. UPFs could include cereal, flavored yogurt, sliced bread, ready meals, and snacks. The study suggests that UPFs could increase the risk of death from all causes by 3% for each 10% increase in consumption.
