💨 Abstract

A 6.0 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Greece, near the island of Karpathos, prompting a temporary tsunami warning for the islands of Crete and Rhodes. The tremors, felt as far as Cyprus, Egypt, Syria, and Israel, caused no serious damage. Greek authorities advised people to move away from the coast, while a seismologist assured that the incident was isolated and unrelated to recent seismic activity in Santorini or Turkey.
