💨 Abstract
Simon Vickers, 50, who stabbed his 14-year-old daughter Scarlett during a 'play fight' in their kitchen, will not face an increased sentence. Vickers was jailed for life with a minimum of 15 years after his daughter's murder on July 5, 2023. The Court of Appeal ruled that his sentence was not unduly lenient, despite the Solicitor General's argument that it did not reflect the severity of the crime.
