💨 Abstract

Stargazers in the UK can view the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) tonight. The Met Office reports that the phenomenon will be visible in Northern Scotland, North England, and North Wales. This is due to a solar wind stream and a coronal mass ejection, part of a rare "once in a decade" solar event. The lights are visible farther south this year due to shifts in the sun's magnetic fields.
