💨 Abstract

Simon McDermott first noticed something wrong when his father, Ted, repeatedly asked the same question after Christmas lunch. Over time, Ted became paranoid and aggressive, leading to a difficult living situation. Ted was eventually diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. With support from the Dementia Support Line, Simon learned to manage Ted's behavior and discovered the therapeutic power of music. They gained public attention through a viral video, securing a record deal and raising funds for Alzheimer's charities.
