Martin Lewis advises parents of children born in 2008 or 2009 to reapply for Child Benefit by August 31 after their child’s 16th birthday to continue receiving up to £1,354.60 annually if the child is in approved education or training. HMRC will send a letter to confirm ongoing eligibility. Approved education includes A-levels, but not university degrees.
