💨 Abstract
A major fire broke out at a recycling facility in Rushden, near Northampton, around 6:30 AM. Thick black smoke was visible for miles, with reports from up to 20 miles away. Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service responded with multiple firefighting units, supported by neighboring Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service. The blaze involved a large quantity of plastic, and the area around the facility was evacuated.
