💨 Abstract
An insider has revealed early plans for "Resident Evil 9," suggesting it started as an open-world multiplayer game with Leon Kennedy and Jill Valentine set on a Singapore-inspired island. Development began in 2017, but the project underwent significant changes in 2021, retconing Jill and is now aimed as a third-person gameplay by 2026. Capcom has confirmed its development, with no official details yet released.
