💨 Abstract
A British tourist, Beth Martin, from Portsmouth died in a public hospital in Istanbul. The Turkish health ministry attributed her death to "cardiac arrest due to multiple organ failure." Concerns arose when an autopsy in the UK revealed Beth's heart was removed without her family's knowledge or consent, which Turkish officials deny. The incident prompts Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) warnings about potential extraction of organs and risks associated with medical procedures in Turkey.
