💨 Abstract
A 79-year-old British pensioner was arrested in Chile for attempting to smuggle five kilos of methamphetamine worth around £200,000. He arrived from Cancun, Mexico, and police found the drugs in a hidden compartment in his suitcase. He claimed he received the suitcase from Mexican nationals and was heading to Sydney, Australia. Chilean authorities are investigating whether the drugs were intended for Chile or Australia.
