💨 Abstract
Liverpool's assistant manager, John Heitinga, is in advanced talks to become Ajax's new manager, with potential agreement from Liverpool. Heitinga has a strong history with Ajax, playing and coaching there previously. Ajax needs a new manager after Francesco Farioli's departure following a late-season collapse. Heitinga's Liverpool boss, Arne Slot, suggested he's ready for a top job but encouraged him to stay another year.
