💨 Abstract
An urgent recall of tomatoes from Williams Farms Repack LLC in the US has been upgraded, warning of a 'reasonable probability' of death due to potential salmonella contamination. The FDA has designated it as a Class I recall, the highest risk level, after infections affect young, elderly or immunocompromised people. Contaminated tomatoes were shipped to Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, with specific lot numbers and labels identified. Customers are advised not to consume and discard the tomatoes.
