💨 Abstract
Arsenal's bid to sign Espanyol's goalkeeper Joan Garcia seems to have failed, as he is reportedly close to joining Barcelona. Garcia, 24, has impressed in La Liga, making the most saves and winning Espanyol's player of the season award. Other Premier League clubs had also shown interest. Barcelona is expected to activate Garcia's €25 million release clause. Garcia's potential move to Barcelona would enhance their goalkeeping options but leaves Arsenal searching for a new backup keeper.
