💨 Abstract
Cutty Sark DLR station in Greenwich, London, will close for nearly a year to replace escalators that have been problematic for a decade. The escalators have been broken since October, causing overcrowding and tensions, including occasional fights. The station, one of the busiest with over 7.6 million entries in 2023, will undergo £4,000,000 in repairs to install new, energy-efficient escalators.
