💨 Abstract
Coventry, UK, has launched a Very Light Rail (VLR) network, described as an improved alternative to traditional trams. The system, operational since last month, features flexible, battery-powered vehicles that carry 60 passengers, with plans to expand to six new areas, including the Coventry Gigafactory. The Department for Transport has allocated £12 million for this expansion, expected to be completed by the end of next year.
