šŸ’Ø Abstract

Russia is reportedly using explosives hidden in animal carcasses in the Ukraine war to evade detection and inflict damage. These improvised explosive devices (IEDs) are placed inside animals like rabbits and deployed via drones. This tactic complicates detection for Ukrainian soldiers and has been used to mine terrain and strike specific targets. Similar methods were previously employed by insurgent groups like Al-Qaeda and the Taliban, who often hid explosives in dead animals.
