Danielle struggled to report her assault due to frightened by a policeman and then trialled only to see the defendant acquitted. Gina, facing communication barriers, was initially discouraged by police but later received better support. Julia, assaulted by her former partner, felt unsupported by the police and ultimately prevented from withdrawing her report.
