💨 Abstract
In 1994, Shamsuddin Mahmood, a 26-year-old waiter, was murdered in Orkney, Scotland. The killer was never identified until 2006 when a letter led to the arrest of Michael Ross, then a sniper sergeant. Ross was convicted in 2008, but his family and supporters believe he was wrongfully convicted. The case remains controversial, with doubts lingering about the investigation and verdict.
