💨 Abstract
On Friday evening, a car driving along Alum Bay New Road on the Isle of Wight went off the cliff and plunged into the sea, resulting in two fatalities. Emergency services including police, firefighters, paramedics, and coastguards responded to the scene. The vehicle was later examined by police in boats. The victims have not been formally identified and the Isle of Wight’s annual Round the Island Race occurred as scheduled the following day despite the incident.
