💨 Abstract

A new UK-EU agreement allows UK passport holders to use e-gates at Euro airports. The pilot starts at Faro, Portugal, benefiting British tourists visiting the Algarve. This move aims to reduce long queues and streamline travel, especially during peak summer periods. After a May summit, it was confirmed that no legal barriers prevent the use of e-gates by British travelers. The rollout is expected to make life easier for holidaymakers and boost British travel to the region.
