💨 Abstract
The SS Richard Montgomery, a World War II shipwreck in the Thames Estuary, is showing signs of instability, with its front half tipping over and decay observed in crucial areas. This ship, nicknamed the 'doomsday wreck,' carries 1,400 tonnes of explosives, and an explosion could cause a significant tsunami and widespread destruction. Recent surveys indicate that the wreck is slowly collapsing and eroding, with a no-fly zone above it implemented as a safety measure.
