đ¨ Abstract
Former Coronation Street star Lucy-Jo Hudson revealed her life-threatening struggle with chronic anemia. Last year, the actress was hospitalized after prolonged exhaustion, difficulty breathing, and mental health issues. Diagnosed with chronic anemia, she required two blood transfusions. Hudson used National Blood Week to thank blood donors and emphasize the importance of donations. She aims to raise awareness about the urgent need for new donors, highlighting that nearly 1 million new donors are needed by 2027.
