Douglas McCarthy, the frontman of the 90s dance band Nitzer Ebb, has died at 58. He had previously announced his retirement from performing due to liver cirrhosis. Nitzer Ebb, including McCarthy and friends from school, rose to fame in the 90s after forming in their teenage years in 1982. The band shared the news of McCarthy's death on Instagram, requesting privacy for the family.
