💨 Abstract
Douglas McCarthy, the frontman of the influential 90s dance band Nitzer Ebb, passed away at age 58. He had previously stepped away from performing due to liver cirrhosis. The band announced his death on Instagram, requesting privacy for his family. McCarthy, along with school friends Vaughan ‘Bon’ Harris and David Gooday, formed Nitzer Ebb in 1982, evolving from post-punk to industrial and electronic genres.
