💨 Abstract

Following violent protests in Northern Ireland driven by claims of a sexual assault, the victim and her family are "mortified" and want the violence to end, according to police. The unrest has resulted in 41 injured officers and 15 arrests. Police Chief Jon Boutcher condemned the 'bigots and racists' fueling the riots, vowing tough legal actions. Despite warnings, tensions persist, with incidents in Portadown and other towns.
