💨 Abstract

A suspect, Vance Boelter, was arrested for allegedly killing a Democratic state representative, Melissa Hortman, her husband, and attacking another state senator and his wife. The governor described the incident as a politically motivated assassination. Boelter, who was found with weapons and a list of public officials' addresses, was charged with two counts of murder and two of attempted murder. Senator Amy Klobuchar shared a statement from one of the survivors and highlighted Minnesota's resilience.
