💨 Abstract

Controversial singer R. Kelly was hospitalized after a near-fatal overdose while incarcerated for sex trafficking and racketeering. His lawyer, Beau Brindley, accused prison staff of intentionally administering a lethal dose of medication. Kelly lost consciousness and was transferred to Duke University Hospital but returned to prison after two days. This incident marks Brindley's third attempt to secure Kelly's early release.
