💨 Abstract
The Dartford Crossing charge will increase this September due to ongoing congestion issues. Cars and similar vehicles will pay £3.50, up from £2.50, while larger vehicles like coaches and lorries will see higher charges. The route, accommodating 150,000 vehicles daily, frequently experiences severe delays, prompting plans for a £10 billion Lower Thames Crossing. Annual resident passes will also increase to £25.
