Kylian Mbappé was hospitalized due to acute gastroenteritis just before Real Madrid's FIFA Club World Cup match against Al-Hilal, causing him to miss the match and the preceding training sessions. His coach, Xabi Alonso, confirmed that the 26-year-old was not well enough to train or play. A statement released by Madrid specified that Mbappé is undergoing tests and treatment in hospital.
