💨 Abstract
The Nintendo Switch 2 had a record-breaking launch with over 3.5 million units sold in its first four days. Despite having a stronger lineup of third-party games compared to the original Switch, third-party game sales have been significantly lower than anticipated. In the US, 62% of physical game sales were for first-party games, while in the UK, the figure was 48%, or 86% when including the Mario Kart World bundle.
