💨 Abstract
In 2019, Warsaw's mayor declared the city LGBTQ+ friendly, sparking a wave of homophobia across Poland. Over 100 'LGBTQ+ free zones' were established, causing significant psychological stress and an increase in suicidal thoughts within the community. Despite recent victories, such as the abolition of the last of these zones, fears persist due to the election of a right-wing president.
