💨 Abstract

The author and his girlfriend, Emma, are both widowed and met through their children's school. They found comfort and understanding in each other's experiences with grief. Initially, their relationship was filled with joy and relief from shared pain. However, they faced doubts about whether their bond was truly deep or just rooted in shared tragedy. A moment of contention occurred when the author inadvertently compared Emma to his late wife.
