💨 Abstract

Elaine Knight, the Queen Vic landlady, faces personal and financial turmoil following her separation from George. She mismanages the pub, loses money on impulsive decisions, and learns her daughter Linda plans to sell her share. A massive argument ensues, and Elaine collapses from stress. Despite this, Elaine dismisses her health issues, leading to another collapse witnessed by Linda and her grandson Johnny. Linda grapples with guilt, while Johnny urges her to proceed with the sale.
