💨 Abstract
On June 21, at Italy’s Uffizi Gallery, a tourist attempted to mimic the pose of a prince in a Baroque painting, causing the canvas to tear. The painting, Ferdinand de’ Medici, Grand Prince of Tuscany, is by Anton Domenico Gabbiani. The tourist was videotaped on CCTV, and the museum is undergoing repairs. Officials are addressing the issue of visitors risking cultural heritage for social media content.
