šŸ’Ø Abstract

A sudden storm on Lake Tahoe led to multiple boat collisions and at least eight deaths. Ten people from a capsized tourist boat succumbed, with only two survivors, and winds exceeded 35mph creating waves over 8 feet. Authorities advised boaters to always wear life jackets, check weather conditions and carry communication devices. The storm, which passed quickly, prompted numerous water rescues. A similar incident last year resulted in six deaths when a superyacht sank in Italy.
