The creator Mark Gatiss has hinted that a revival of the BBC show "Sherlock" is unlikely. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, the show concluded in 2017. Gatiss and co-creator Steven Moffat both stated that the actors do not wish to return. Cumberbatch mentioned that any comeback would have to surpass the original series. Fans are left uncertain about the future of "Sherlock" without the original cast.
