💨 Abstract
A teenager from Eritrea, after fleeing war and religious persecution, arrived alone in the UK at 16. Initially isolated and struggling with language barriers and immigration issues, they found support through the King’s Trust Explore programme. This programme helped them gain confidence, learn essential skills, and make friends. Now, they are excelling in school, playing football, and have received the Delta Air Lines Breakthrough Award. Their journey highlights the importance of support and perseverance in overcoming challenges.
