💨 Abstract

In Malaysia, the LGBTQ+ community faces significant legal and social challenges, yet a vibrant and resilient underground scene thrives. Parties and events are held in secret, with strict security measures to protect attendees, particularly Muslims, trans people, and those perceived as cross-dressing. Despite a history of police raids, such as the infamous 2022 Halloween raid, the community persists, organizing events like secret pride-themed photoshoots.
