💨 Abstract
On June 26, 2025, the cargo ship Altay caught fire while docked at Hull's Albert Dock, carrying scrap metal. No injuries were reported, but the fire forced local businesses, including a van hire company, to close. The fire also led to the suspension of cases and hearings at nearby courts. Evacuations and diversions were in effect, with smoke affecting the surrounding area. Authorities and port operators were assisting in managing the situation.
