💨 Abstract

The UK and France are planning a 'one in, one out' migrant returns deal to address Channel crossings. Migrants arriving in the UK via small boats could be returned to France, based on a joint processing system. For every legitimate claim allowed, one migrant would be returned and relocated away from the northern coastline. Debates surround the effectiveness of this measure with critics questioning France's commitment and enforcement.
