💨 Abstract
A man known as the ‘Twitter killer’ has been executed in Japan for murdering and dismembering nine people, including eight women and a man. Takahiro Shiraishi, sentenced to death in 2020, lured suicide-contemplating individuals to his home, where he killed and dismembered them in 2017. His crimes highlighted concerns over social media use and capital punishment in Japan.
