đ¨ Abstract
A Norwegian gambling company, Norsk Tipping, mistakenly told over 400,000 people they had won large sums in the Eurojackpot due to a conversion error, when in reality, the winnings were much smaller. The error led to incorrect notifications and significant emotional distress for some winners. The correct amounts were updated the next day, the CEO resigned, and the company apologized for the breach of trust.
