💨 Abstract
Two firefighters were fatally shot while responding to a wildfire in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. After arriving at the scene, they came under sniper fire. A suspect was later found dead. The incident, described as an ambush, left a third firefighter in critical condition. Rescue helicopters had difficulty locating the suspect due to smoke and hikers. Idaho Governor Brad Little condemned the attack, calling for prayers for the victims and their families.
