💨 Abstract
A new heat rule has been introduced at Wimbledon 2025 to protect players during extreme temperatures, allowing a 10-minute break in singles matches when the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) reaches 30.1°C. This rule applies from the start of the second set in all best-of-three set matches and after the first two sets in best-of-five set contests. Only one player needs to request the break.
